PDO (Polydioxanone) Threads are a soluble synthetic material that has been used for more than 30 years, used in many surgeries worldwide. Generally the procedure is very safe, however as with any type of treatment be it surgical / non they all come with some risks.
One of the most common and likely complications of the PDO Threads which would generally happen within the first 6 weeks following the procedure is Infection, symptoms of this include fever, tenderness, redness and on occasions swelling. This is the majority of instances that this does occur it can be treated with a course of antibiotics
Occasional although rare patients could experience some numbness or lack of sensitivity in the area/s that have been treated. Whilst one of the main advantages of this type of treatment is preferred due also to the lack of scarring, this is still classed in a very small number of cases as a possible side affect.

You wouldn’t want to plan any big social events during the first couple of days, whilst the results are settling down, but following this there is no reason why you shouldn’t fully resume to your everyday routine / social commitments.
